Vietnam in my opinion was the most controversial war in America to this date. There were many photographs of actual soldiers in combat. This picture really struck out to me. A sergeant is taking cover behind some sort of a hill looking over his soldier who has been shot in the head by an enemy sniper. In the picture's description it describes the picture as that the wounded soldier did not follow the advice that was given to him by watching out for snipers.
The sergeant looks very tired and worried about his wounded soldier. His facial expressions say it all that everything that is going on around him is the reason that he is very fatigued, not just physically but also mentally. He's leaning on his gear hiding for the most part from the snipers and looking upon a wounded teammate. The wounded teammate on the other side is lying down on a backpack with endless supply of head bands wrapped around him. By the way of his body language his is extremely exhausted and also very hurt. The wounded soldier wishes he could be somewhere else at this moment, back to his home and loving family. The only thing he can do is hope for the best and heal up to continue to fight back home.
